D60 Nikon Help???? Lenses?
Is the D60 a good camera? I can't really afford any others that are better..so i just want to know if its good or not? and what kind of lense should i get?
It says it has a 18-55mm lense? is that good? what is the compared to optical zoom?
The D60 is a great entry level camera ... the AF-S 18-55 mm VR is one of the best lenses in that focal length range ... it is too bad that the Canon 18-55 mm lens was so poor because those who don't know any better assume the Nikon's is just as bad. I is not .. If Canon had made a 18-55 mm USM, IS lens then they would have both been good ones but they did not.

The 18-55 mm lens will be just fine until you figure out which lens you want next ... generally the next lens people buy is the 55-200 VR for shooting sports and some wildlife..
