Zoom Camera Lens
i recently purchased a zoom lens for my camera?
Lens is TOU/FIVE STAR 75-200MM 1:4.5 MACRO ZOOM AUTO LENS for minolta on e-bay. However, the camera i have is Minolta Maxuum 5000 SLR and the lens does not 'snap' / fit onto the camera. Is there an adapter available or are some lens and camera just not compatible?

Unfortunately, you have bought a manual focus MC/MD mount lens for your auto focus camera which uses the Minolta A-mount introduced in 1985 with the introduction of the Maxxum 7000 auto focus camera. There is an adapter you can buy but it is hard to find and more expensive than the lens you bought.
Your best course is to contact the seller and ask to return the lens. Explain why you need to return it. Of course you'll lose all shipping charges. You'll be glad you returned the lens since its really an off-brand and of dubious quality.
Once you have your money back search for Maxxum AF lenses on eBay. The AF 70-210mm f4 constant aperture Minolta lens will give you superior performance.
