Canon EOS 1D Mark IV is a 16.1 mega-pixel professional level DSLR. This camera shots in JPEG, RAW, mRAW, sRAW (Canon, CR2) MOV. The camera feature a built-in self cleaning sensor unit that gets rid of dust. It retails for $4,999.00 for the body.
Canon EOS 7D is a 18 mega-pixel professional series camera from Canon that can along with picture take HD video. The camera can take pictures in the following formats JPEG, RAW(14-bit, Canon original), sRAW, mRAW, RAW+JPEG. This camera can also shoot HD video in H.264 format and records audio in the Linear PCM mode. The Canon 7D retails for $699.99 with a wireless file transmitter for sending pictures to your computer without cables, or you can get it for $1,899.00 with a EF 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM lens.
Canon PowerShot G11 a 10.0 mega-pixel high-end digital camera that features a 2.7-inch LCD. The G11 has a 5x optical zoom lens. This camera can shoot RAW as well as JPEG images. It accepts SD/SDHC memory cards, MultimediaCard, MMCplus card and MMPCplus cards. It shoots video at 640x480 at 30 frames/second. The Canon G11 retails for $499 but on Amazon it can be purchased for $440.98.
Canon PowerShot S90 is Canon's follow up from the S80 from 5 years ago. The S90 has a very nice sleek design and features a 10.0 mega-pixel, 3.8x optical zoom wide-angle lens. It also has a 3.0-inch LCD. This camera features all the latest technology in anti-blur and image stabilization. The S90 can also shoot video in 640x480 pixels at 30 frames/second. The Canon S90 retails for $429.99 but can be picked up on Amazon for $399.95.

CAnon Lens:what do you prefer USM or IS lens?

Does year 1990's telephoto zoom lens with USM features are still good enough capturing sharp images such as:
75-300mm III USM
90-300mm USM

Whereas, the
55-250mm (new model) has IS

so, what would you prefer?

How USM is important than IS or vice-versa?

am planning to upgrade to telephoto zoom lens w/c is affordable yet offers quality images
my budget falls up to $350.

okay basics:

Optical Image Stabilizer (IS) technology suppresses blur when taking stills and minimises image shake when shooting video footage. Canon’s lens-shift type IS allows photographers to shoot at shutter speeds up to 3 stops slower with no perceptible increase in image blur.

An Ultra-Sonic Motor (USM) delivers rapid, responsive zooming with virtually silent operation, reducing the risk of sound interference on movies and or when shooting wildlife subjects.

An Ultra-low Dispersion (UD) lens element curbs chromatic aberrations at longer focal lengths to ensure faithful colour reproduction and sharp definition.

So, basically it will depend on the kind of photo shoot you will do, right?

Generally, IS is more preferred. Personally, I go with IS.
