Why have a telephoto lens front thread on it? beginner confused?

The good news is that you can (with a lens adapter) use different lenses, filters etc. So my adapter camera lens fits and has 58mm thread. I'm trying to buy a telephoto lens and I am confused because I'm finding the line lenses say things like 67mm 2.0x TELE Telephoto '58mm Thread Front. "Does that mean that it fits my 58mm adapter? Why does 67mm front thread? Why he has a thread in front (for the filters?)? I just want to make sure I buy something that fits. learning Thanks for being patient with me … I am!

In the example given, the first measurement (2.0 X 58 TELE mm telephoto) means that the lens will fit your adapter. The second measurement (67mm Front Thread) means that if you want to use a filter with the lens attached, you need to buy 67mm filters.
