how to remove dust from LCD screen protector?

well while putting the lcd screen protector onto my phone's lcd screen, i got dust onto the applicable/adhesive side which won't come off. is there any way i can remove the dust and still be able to use the screen protector?
help please!

The screen protectors stick using static. So just use water to rinse it off and let it dry off don't wipe it clean or it will go worse.
