Broken EOS Rebel XS Canon SLR Camera Lens, help?
I'm sorry, my camera vocabulary isn't very advanced so I'll try to explain as best as I can.
You know the Focusing Ring that turns to get into focus? Well it resembles a bottle cap when you dont twist a cap on properly on the bottle. It's not very evident but if you look closely it's there. It doesn't look like a very big twist, but do you think it can be fixed?

When I try to twist the zoom it doesn't budge, and when it tries to focus it turns a little but not very much
And if I can get a lens for 100$ I'm willing to pay that-- I've got some birthday money left over, I was just worried it'd cost 200+
No. It is not that my focus is bad... if you read my post I said that the focus lens is on a slant (Like when you twist a cap on a bottle wrong and it slants a little) and I cannot zoom in or out
Oh, I think I read that wrong.. well yeah I guess the lens is bad.. in the sense that it is broken, not in the sense that it is of low quality.
It is possible, but you will have to take it into a camera repair shop to find out. I would not pay too much though since you can get a new lens for about $100. probably even cheaper if you search Ebay.
