What are the Canon EF-S?
Canon EF-S are designed by Canon for amateur photographers. Only work with Canon bodies with a 1.6x field of view crop factor (FOVCF) image sensor. These camera bodies are:
Canon EOS Digital Rebel series, Canon EOS 50D, 40D, 30D, 50D, 10D and 7D.
The image sensor of such camera bodies is smaller than the more expensive, professional Canon grade. As a result, the entire image produced by lenses Canon EF mount does not reach the image sensor. Canon EF-S are designed to work only with 1.6 x FOVCF smaller sensor. While Canon produces the lenses for photography of the right products, they still produce great results.

Many fans use this objective as a primary lens walkround for each type of photography.
Canon EF-S 17-85mm F/4-5.6 IS USM standard zoom lens Review
This is probably the best lens around the site of the EF-S range of lenses. Provides quality image in one affordable package and versatile. Image stabilization lens also makes several stops in a lower effective maximum aperture of f / 4 normal permit. Many use this objective as a primary lens for shooting every day.

What is the best Canon lens?
I have a Canon Rebel XS digital SLR camera. The only goal I have right now is that came with my camera. Its zoom and the images are not as sharp as I want. Just wanted to know if the lens i am looking at are compatible / fit my camera and comments that it is better. The lens I'm looking for are two 70-200mm f/4L USM telephoto zoom lens, the EF 70mm f/2.8L USM standard zoom 24-and EF-S 55-250mm f/4.0-5.6 IS telephoto zoom. Thank you very much. I also appreciate it if you had other objectives that you would recommend.
