Fisheye Lens Fuji

I want to buy a fisheye lens?

But I'm not sure if my camera can use it. I just started using DSLR cameras or whatever they're called, so I'm a little confused. I have a Fuji S1000FD (10 MP, 12X Optical zoom) and I was wondering if I could even buy some kind of fisheye lens to use on my DSLR (my camera's considered a DSLR, right?). Are fisheye lenses only usable on some DSLRs or can mine use it? Do fisheyes have different sizes for different cameras? If mine could use one, how much would it be and does it have a specific name? How much is it, where can I get it, etc.

You have what is called a - Bridge Camera..

By this it means it belongs to neither camp. It is not a true D-SLR nor is it a point n shoot. However, image quality is not impaired.

There are screw on lenses that can give you a wider view than the most wide setting your camera has. Getting a true fish eye EFX may be hard tho.

Most any of the true D-SLR cameras can take a true fish eye as long as it has the camera's lens mount. Fish eyes are generally expensive and some are purely astronomical in price. Look to pay at least 4 to 5 hundred bucks for simple fish eyes and many time more for the true 180' kind. There are of course imports of questionable quality and here you put your money down and take your chances.

Your camera will only take lenses that screw onto, in front, of the lens that is there, and most likely have to use adapter rings too.

Google - fish eye lenses - or go to Amazon.com and do the same. Some screw on aux lenses can start as low as $50 and go up from there.
