Clip on lens for nikon?

I am an amateur when it comes to camera's, but is there such thing as a clip on lens?
I have the nikon l100 which is a compact DSLR. Im investing in a nice SLR where I can attach full fish-eye lenses and what-not.
But is there such thing as a "clip on" wide angle / fish eye / macro lense which I can fit over the end of the lens of my camera?
And where could I get it?

Just wondering.

btw, there is no place a lens could be screwed onto on the end of my lens, so that's why I refer to "clip on"

The Nikon L100 isn’t a compact DSLR. It’s a fixed lens bridge camera. There are no fisheye adapter lenses of any kind available for the L100.

Since youre an amateur here are some things to consider when you buy your DSLR if you want to use a fisheye lens.

There are two categories of fisheye lenses. Circular and full frame or rectangular. Circular produces the black barrel around the image and would be 8mm focal length or wider. The full frame type produce less or no black circular barrel and would be 9mm to 15mm focal length. Some don’t call these fisheye but rather super wide angle lenses.

An 8mm lens is an 8mm lens no matter which camera its attached to. On a full sensor DSL-R you’ll get the image with the black circular barrel. Use the same lens on an
APS-C sensor DSLR and you wont get the black circular barrel because the smaller sensor crops it out of the image.

If youre interested in getting the true circular fisheye photos from a DSLR and you choose an APS-C sensor camera you’ll have to get wider 4.5mm lenses to get the black barrel effect. When the sensor crops the image there should still be remaining black barrel effect. Also be prepared because these lenses are in the $1000 range. I dont know if youve given thought to the expense of DSLR photography but before you buy your DSLR check the prices for lenses and accessories to go with it.
