Garden Tote

How many times you are going to the garden as a workhorse, arms laden with hand tools? More often than not, have yet to return to the ship for more supplies. With a little of ingenuity and a few items you probably have around the house, you can create your own garden bag to store all your gardens "must have."

It brings a cloth belt carpenter (the guy with a big pocket) and meet all the hand tools they use regularly. Measure the width of each and add 1 inch. Use a pencil to mark the sections on the pocket of the belt. Double stitching along the pencil marks, creating several pockets for various instruments. Get a small bucket or a trash old cat, perfect for holding brush, gloves and other items and tie the belt around the cube. The next time you work in the garden, take your bag and go.

For a variation on this idea, use bungee cords to connect the tank to a golf cart or dolly bags, and shovels place or other large items in the bucket and wheel around with ease.

Knee Pad

Be kind to your knees supply through the use of a knee pad when you leave the garden. Take an old mattress camping Styrofoam and cut to order, or visit your local dealer Carpet and ask some signs of age.

Plant Supports

Get your large plants in check by providing a support system built right in its pot. Start with a medium bowl. 1 unit of five 1-inch sticks or bamboo shoots on the ground until they stick out about 4 feet. Plant your tomato or other climbing plants in the center of the pot. Get nylon strings and wind around the star-shaped pegs in rows 6 inches. As your plant grows and develops fruit, have a lot of support to all the rebels stems.

This is a handy little device for planting seedlings a breeze. In fact, once you've used a few times, you wonder how you ever gardened without it. Start with a piece of wood measuring four inches wide and four feet long. Leave a flat edge, or bevel at an angle of 45 degrees. You can actually get the store to cut wood for you. Over the other side, trademark "V" notches every six inches. Alternate large and small notches. Make the first about an inch deep and the second about 2 inches and repeat.

When ready to plant, press the flat side of the board on the ground, making a narrow channel from its seeds. Put the board on its side with the notches facing away from you. Use the notches to help with spacing and plant their seeds.

Sprinkler Stand

This is a simple method to make your swing more efficient sprinklers. Start a sprinkler in the soil that holds a faucet attached to it. Get a bamboo pole and two plastic screws. Depending on the type of plants that are irrigation, cut bamboo. Should be 2 to 3 feet of growth under plants and vegetables, and 4 to 6 feet tall flowers or shrubs. Push the pole into the ground at least 8 inches place the metal stem of the sprinkler top post and fasten with plastic strips. Connect the hose and water away.
