Becoming A Creative Wedding Photographer

The brides and grooms usually have lot more things to worry about other than the photography stuff. This is a reason why they give this job to a friend of theirs or hire a wedding photographer. However, if you don't have an experience in shooting such a big event and your friend gives you the responsibility for the day, there is no need to panic.

Most of the people, these days, like to see the DVD of their marriage. But this is not true in all the cases. Some like to see it in a photo album. The first and foremost thing to remember during the job is to not use any dull background. If a dull or shady background is used, the photo however doesn't look good. If the couple of the marriage is in a crowd, as they usually are, it is not important to capture their whole body, only the faces can be captured. This creates a good photo. Also, most of the times, in marriages, the staged photos do not look all that good as compared to the natural ones. Also, the use of zoom function can be done.

If you are using a camera such as Canon or Nikon, you should make it a point to check whether you have enough memory to store those many amounts of pictures. However, if you don't have that much memory capacity, an additional memory card should be carried with you which would prove to be quite useful. You would need a 1 GB card if you have a camera with around 6 Mega Pixels. If they are more, you might need more than a GB's space.

The resolution of your camera should be adjusted properly. If the resolution is maximized, the pictures would be blown up in size. If you intend to keep the pictures in a lesser size, the resolution also should be reduced. However, if you have finished with the clicking part, the printing part is only left out. This can be done very easily. Also, if you want a CD can be made with help of which you can create as many copies you want and also, they can be permanently stored in a computer or some other place.

Basically, the art defines how good a photographer you would become. You should have the art for it. Also, interest is very necessary. It all depends upon the creativeness and creativeness comes only when you like the work your doing. Also, there are other things such as the quality of the camera, your love for the job, etc. Also, at the end of it, your creative and imaginative mind is what matters.

a gift of canon 50D DSLR?

hello,

I received the canon 50d as a Christmas present. However I am in the very beginning stages of photography and this will be an upgrade from a point and shoot camera that i've owned for 2 years. I am wondering if I should exchange this 50d for a lower model such as the canon rebel ti or perhaps a nikon. any suggestion about the camera and if its something I should hold on to and just learn how to use it or step down several grades and start from an entry level dslr?

Your line of thinking in regards to starting off with a more "entry level" is an excellent idea if you have shopping for your first DSLR camera but if trading in that 50D means getting trade-in value toward another camera then I would not make the move.

Also, do not worry about brands. Canon is an excellent and so are a number of others. In fact, I am a Nikon user and I am telling there is no reason to switch brands if you already have a good model camera from an excellent brand, which Canon is.

Go shoot and create some great images.
