Which is better SONY DSLR Alpha 300 or the Alpha 350 ?

Im planning to get a sony DSLR but i dont know which is actually better between the alpha 300 and the alpha 350..
Please tell me which is better overall.Both look very similar and identical. But which one is better ? Is it Alpha 300 or the alpha 350.....Thanks.....

You are correct, they share most features. How you anticipate using the camera will probably determine which you choose, but I'd lean toward the A350 for the greater detail , and not complain at the slightly slower continuous frame rate and minimal reduction in battery life.

The A350 goes 14/3.5mp for it's largest/smallest 'normal' image vs. 10/2.5mp for the A300 (12/2.9mp vs. 8.4/2.1mp in 16:9 mode respectively)...basically what the earlier person said more pixels=larger images at the same detail, or more detail at 'standard' print sizes.

The A300 shoots 3 frames/second in continuous mode, while the A350 shoots 2 fps [the article said 2.5fps for the A350, and "about 3fps" for the A300, so there's some rounding of numbers in the specs].

The A300 will take about 10 more images on a full battery charge 740 vs. 730, but that seems logical since they share processor and battery [the greater detail probably just demands a little more 'juice']. Not a huge trade off.

In a nut-shell. The A350 takes a more detailed picture, but if you're more interested in faster continuous shooting, or shooting 1.36% more shots and saving $100.00 [1.125%] the A300 would be your choice. [edit. the article lists the prices at $800 US for the A300 and $900 for the A350, but I didn't check other price sources]
