The Impact Of Soft Skill Training

Liberals - would you agree that your major defining characteristic is EMPATHY?

I was thinking about how Liberals get accused of being "soft" or sympathizing with criminals/terrorists.

I'm socially Liberal, and I don't sympathize with them. But I DO try to understand the forces that caused something, and most Liberals I know do the same thing.

I think, as Liberals, we're not excusing the actions of terrorists or criminals. But we seek to understand the CAUSE instead of just focusing on the effect.

Liberals believe that we can prevent future calamities by understanding the cause. It seems conservatives often want to treat the effect.

Would you agree?
Gone crazy - I agree, but I've also worked with many families on welfare and they're not "laying around," sucking off the system. Many of them were either working or actively looking for work. Most of them needed welfare to be able to feed their kids. They weren't popping out kids to "get more welfare," either.

Conservatives like to cling to their ideals. Sometimes they're right, sometimes they're wrong, but they are the party more likely to not budge on something. By definition, that's what conservative is...per Webster's.

And that's not really a slam on righties, it's just how it is. That's why Liberalas are always accused of being called "intellectuals" (as if that's a bad thing), and the main components of the liberal demographic is college educated.
