Polarizer Lens Filter

Polarizer filter or UV filter?

I have a webcam site pointed at my garden and have noticed when the sun is out there is major glare.

It looks like your camera is indoors and you are shooting through a glass pane. Is this correct? If so the uv filter will be useless. Poleriser will not help much. ND filter will only make the photos darker. The promblem is the sun lighting the mini blinds. Then the blinds are reflecting on the camera's side of the glass pane. One thing that will probally help the most is to block the blinds reflection from getting to the area in front of the camera. How far is the camera from the window pane? If it is a short distance you can use a very dark fabric to shield the reflecton of the blinds. Basically tape the fabric to the window and drape it over the camera. Much like the old veiw camera in western movies. Or it the distance from camera to glass is very close, you can get a collapable rubber hood. place the hood on the lens, and place the other end directly on the glass. You can also make a black paper or dark cloth cone to do the same thing if the distance is too great for a rubber hood. I hope this helps, and hopefully it isn't too confussing.
