Camera 450D - My First Proper Camera, And I Am Totally Loving The Experience!

I purchased and received my Camera 450D + the Canon 70-300mm lens just before a trip to south of France in August 09, and I was bent on capturing all the moment on holiday with my wife. I got very lovely photos.

The Camera 450D is a beautiful camera, just a step above the entry level for Digital SLR's. Its quite easy to use and once you can learn to fiddle with it you will get the perfect setting that suit your personal moods.

This is my first proper camera, I had gone through 3 SONY's,1st was stolen, left the 2nd in taxi in Ghana, and the last one froze while on a tour at the Vatican, then bought an Olympus Stylus 770SW, which I have given to my 7 year old son.

I am extremely happy with my Camera 450D, learning new things everyday. It's a very addictive habit, so far I have 3 lenses now, the 18-55mm, 70-300mm, both Canon and my favorite 18-270mm Tamron. External Flash Canon 430 EXII, remote-control, tripods, Crumpler Jimmy bag.etc

My photography experience has been very worthwhile, friends and family love my photos, most come out better than even the "professional photographers" they call to evens as I seem to capture better moments than they do at functions.

Sometime in the nearest future I believe my Canon might go from a hobby to a part-time profession.

Camera 450D – Superb

This was an upgrade from a Canon powershot bridge camera and to be used alongside my Ixus S5. Really good images, huge array of options/functions which I find easy to access via the large LCD screen on back. I think this is a great starter DSLR and being a Canon you have access to a huge range of accessories. Bought this over the 1000D and do not begrudge the slight extra expense at all. Feels good and solid considering the plastic used in the build.

Friend has a Nikon D60 and there's not much in it between the two. So many starter DSLRs now that it was difficult to choose but have never been disappointed by Canons yet so thought I'd stick to a good thing.

Tamron AF 18-200mm f/3.5-6.3 lens quesiton 10 pts?

Does Canon Ti1 or Nikon d5000 auto focus work with Tamron AF 18-200mm f/3.5-6.3 ?

is 220 (after rebate) good to paid in this lens (new) i plan to get just the body of the camera is this lens better than 18-55 kit lens?
I don't had the budget of spending 400-600 more for nikon or canon 18-200mm, review said they picture quality isn't that much better i can live without it. Also does any lens attach do d5000 or t1i work as video?

Yes it will work on both. Great deal on lens, you can't go wrong with the price and performance. The AF will not work on the D5000 in video mode, but does work on the T1i. The only issue with AF working while in video mode on the T1i is that the microphone is right next to the lens so it picks up the AF motor noise while it is recording.
