Pictures Inaccessible post Immediate switching off the Canon A470
The Canon A470 is an entry-level camera that has been designed specifically keeping in mind the need for compact and simple cameras in this world. The camera has a 3.4x optical zoom and a 2.5 inch LCD display which enables even new users to click good quality pictures with ease. The camera uses SD/MMC/SDHC memory cards. However, even the most perfectly designed cameras can have a rendezvous with trouble from time to time. Some problems may even cause the stored photos card to get deleted or lost. At such times, if one does not have an access to a valid back-up, then you can always turn to a Photo Recovery software to salvage your data.
The most common instance of this is when you immediately switch off your camera after taking pictures. The next time you turn it on, you cannot access any of the pictures saved in your memory card . One encounters a similar kind of problem when trying to upload pictures from the camera's memory card to the computer after turning the camera off abruptly.
Cause:
The cause behind the inaccessibility of your pictures is that you switched off the camera right after clicking pictures. When we click photos, the camera writes them to the memory card. This process takes time depending on the size of the file being written. During this process if the camera is switched off, the process is interrupted and the card then gets corrupted. Photos thus become inaccessible.
Note: Always switch off your camera after few minutes of clicking the pictures.
Resolution:
To resolve the issue, you will need to format the card. Format the card in the camera itself. Then use a Photo Recovery Software to recover all your lost photos. Digital Photo Recovery can easily be done using a trusted third-party tool, the selection of which should be done carefully and cautiously.
These software scan the storage media and recover all the lost information from within. It makes use of the fact that data is stored on multiple locations in the hard drive. Therefore even when the drive is formatted, specially designed software can recover the data from the hard drive.

The pros use Nikon and Canon, in part because of the large number of accessories and lenses available for these cameras. - Sony makes good cameras, but it is really an amateur brand - There are far fewer lenses available for Sony digital SLRs. - However, Sony took over Minolta when Minolta got out of the camera business - And some older Minolta lenses will fit Sony digital SLRs.
Canon is a much bigger company than Nikon - In recent years Canon has been a bit quicker to come out with fancy new models - but the Nikon D3, D300 and D700 took a leap ahead in their ability to shoot at high ISO speeds without much noise - and now Canon is catching up.
When Canon started selling autofocus cameras in the 1980s, it completely changed its lens mount. Among other changes, the opening to the camera was made larger which gave Canon flexibility in its lens designed. - Nikon did not change its mount - and as a result many older non autofocus lenses will work well on the higher priced Nikon Digital SLRS. (such as the D200, D300, D3 and D700). Other Nikon Digital cameras may be able to use the old non autofocus lenses without metering.
