You Can Make Your Own Hidden Camera!

How in the world would you do that, you ask? Well, there are what they call “board cameras” which are basically a fixed camera lens mounted onto a small circuit board. These cameras are often used inside mini cameras, dome cameras and are also used for making hidden cameras but these board cameras are also sold unpackaged, for mounting inside of various objects by the buyer. So, technically, if you have the time, the creativity, and are handy with things such as this, you can make your own hidden camera. It could be a fun hobby and you can also create a one-of-a-kind hidden camera that nobody else in the world will have.

Let’s suppose that your grown child once had a little stuffed animal and it still sits in your home as a reminder of the child’s wonderful childhood years. You can actually put one of these board cameras inside, and no one will ever guess that a ten or twenty year old, or older, stuffed animal is a surveillance camera!

The lenses in these board cameras are either a full opened lens or a pinhole in which the opening of the lens is very small. Pinhole lens cameras are often called "spy" cameras and are most often used in making hidden cameras. All of our hidden cameras are examples of hidden board cameras.

Imagine making your own hidden cameras with these little beauties? The lenses in board cameras are pre-mounted and have a fixed iris. In most cases they have a short focal length, which is the distance between the surface of the lens and its focal point, which results in a wide angle of view. These board cameras have a lens that is between 3.6 and 6mm. So, because board cameras have some many fixed features they are limited to what they can be used for. However, they offer a low cost solution to security needs especially in many hidden camera situations.

How is the lens assembly mounted and held inside the miniature camera dome?

Please explain manucturing and assembly methods that detail on how the lens assembly is mounted within a camera dome of diameter 10mm.
(Have got links of catalogues. They don't specify the methods and processes involved though)
