why is my 98 eclipse gs shaking on take off?

Hi i was wondering if anybody could help me,. Wen i start moving, my car jerks very hard and the same thing when i throw it in reverse. I changed the rotors but the the shaking was before that and that didnt help. Also, the gears sometimes are very hard to go into. And when i am in first gear and reach about 4500 rpms there is a metal scraping noise when i press on the clutch. The housing of the tranny is cracked right next to the front mount.. Could that be an issue? or maybe motor mounts? Please help...... thanks

sounds like a bad motor mount...with hood up, have someone rev the engine while in neutral while you look at motor, if motor move up and down when this is done, it is a motor mount bad.
