A leading manufacturer of digital photographic equipment, Olympus has led many innovations in the fields of imaging with their extensive market research and implementation of new technologies. Olympus, a Japanese company, was formed in 1919, and has since enjoyed considerable success and rapid growth. Previously known as Takachiho Seisakusho, the first optical product by Olympus was a microscope.
Their first photographic product was the Semi-Olympus I launched in 1936. It was a 120-roll film camera with a fixed Zuiko 75mm F4.5 lens, again an Olympus product. Olympus introduced the world to the first half-frame Single Lens Reflex (SLR) camera. With trend-setting products in the field of imaging, Olympus has subsidiaries in many countries of the world including Europe.
The Mju series also known as Stylus or Stylus Epic includes some of Olympus’ best-selling camera models to date. With a clamp-shell closing mechanism, these cameras are compact, lightweight, stylishly designed and come in different colours with varied specifications. Olympus Mju cameras are water resistant and shock proof.
The Mju 820 is a digital camera from Olympus. It comes with 5x optical zoom and an eight megapixel resolution that lets you capture every minute detail. The Mju 820 gives you an excellent preview in dim as well as bright lighting owing to its giant 6.9cm HyperCrystal LCD technology. The BrightCapture technology ensures your photos turn out perfectly even in low-light conditions. You can liven up your memories with the Mju 820’s movie-recording feature that offers up to three hours of video. This camera is available in blue, black, red and silver.
With a stunning 12 megapixel resolution and 3x optical zoom, the Olympus Mju 1200 ensures you don’t miss out on even the smallest detail and your pictures are crystal clear. The face detection technology results in perfectly focused faces with the correct light exposure. The HyperCrystal LCD along with the high ISO setting allows you to review and share blur-free shots with friends. The Olympus Mju 1200 has 20 scene modes to capture photos in different situations. Moreover, the TruePic III image processor enables faster image handling with excellent quality.
Other Olympus cameras include the Mju 770, the Mju 840, the Mju 1030, the Mju 1010 and the Mju 800. Olympus Mju cameras are user-friendly and easy to operate and so can be used by amateurs as well as professionals.

Who has tried using Olympus OM 101? (SLR)?
I had this very old-school SLR. It's actually my father's. I have a photography class that's why I'm using it because I still don't have a Digital SLR. I'm confused about the aperture button of my Olympus Om 101. I don't understand how the aperture button works because There are labels there that says Lens 2 Lens 4 and Lens 5.6. I dont know where to point the 3 small lines of the button.
ANd where can I find the ISO setting?
HI there. Sorry no one has tried to answer your question.... probably because there isn't anyone on Answers who has used the OM101. I haven't either... but I did find out that if you google Olympus OM 101 User Manual... you will find a couple of sites that will let you download the owner's manual. You will need that anyway... if you are taking a photoclass. What I did read, your camera is a full program mode SLR... meaning that you do nothing about making or changine the settings. I don't know if your instructor is keen to that... my instructor required a camera that was able to go in Manual Operations so that we could set the aperture and f/stops. Anyway, you should check with your instructor.. but for your question above... find that manual from online and download it. Information in it will give you full instructions on how to operate the camera. Good luck in your photo class.
