It's Olympus E-450 + kit 14-42mm lens with a good camera?

Well, I was just wondering if the Olympus E-450 with Zuiko 14-42mm Kit is a shoice good camera? I read in some magazine that lacks some stabilization, but uses Digital Image Stabilization. What does that mean? Is it good or bad? It would be my first digital SLR, but I'm also looking Sony DSLR-A230L Black + Lens Kit 18-55mm or Canon EOS 1000D Black + kit 18-55mm lens - Does anyone be a better option, why? By the way, probably will not be buying the extra lenses in the coming years, and when do - if you do - you will probably have another house in the camera, I guess.

M Hello, I am a big believer in the Olympus system. One of the reasons is important that they prefer the high quality of Zuiko lenses. What is unusual is that almost all Olympus lenses, even the "kit" lenses that are designed to be more economical, are rated as very good optically.
