My friend has a Canon EOS Rebel K2 35mm camera.

As a gift I am wanting to purchase a digital camera. I did not want to spend more than $400; looking at the current prices, I can only afford the body of the camera.

I was thinking of getting a Digital canon EOS Rebel. Is the lens for the 35mm interchangeable with the Digital SLR?
