Why is my Tamron 75-300 mm objective mounted on my Canon EOS Xsi?

I recently bought a new camera for my Canon XSi, and it seems as if not granted to the body. Do I have to purchase some type of converter lenses? Thank you!

Cameras have specific lens mount, so you only have Canon specific Canon lens mount (and distinguishes between the Canon EF and EF-S manual focus mounts). Pentax mount lenses have Pentax, etc. Therefore, it is likely Tamron that the goal you have is in the wrong assembly if no place in its canon. Check the box came in the confirmation and / or exchange from the place of purchase. And if it is a Tamron manual focus lens for a Canon, note that manual focus lenses from Canon are totally different from the Canon autofocus lenses (EF and EF-S).
