Affordable Quality in an easy-to-use, lightweight, Thermal Imaging Camera System

The Toughcam EL is an inexpensive infrared imaging camera. This type of camera is commonly used in home energy audits and is a perfect tool for any residential or commercial inspector. These Cameras can see thermal energy visible in the infrared spectrum. This allows an inspector to view, diagnose, and document many different types of problems ailing a building but that are not visible to the naked eye.

Infrared Cameras Inc. (ICI) has incorporated excellent ergonomics into Toughcam EL. The unit itself is smaller than most infrared cameras of its class; very easy to hold and lightweight. All the interfaces; the power button, multifunction joystick, capture option, and trigger control buttons are easily accessed with large or small hands. The ICI Toughcam EL camera is the equipped with single point temperature measurement. The camera has a resolution of 160 x 120 and a temperature measurement range of -20° to 250° C (-4° to 482° F). The 160 x 120 LCD color display on the side of the camera is used to view the image in real-time; the display rotates 270 degrees vertically and is intelligent, so when the camera is upside down the screen is always right side up. This works out great if the user is in a confined space like a crawlspace or attic.

In the front of the camera are a visible camera which allows the user to view in a normal spectrum of light for a comparison and a laser pointer to see visibly what object the user is pointing the camera at. The battery compartment is placed in the grip of the unit so no dangling cables to get in the way. The ToughCam’s lithium ion battery supplies 3 hours of continuous operations per charge. In the bottom of the camera’s grip is a black rubber guard that covers the auxiliary power input. The Toughcam EL also has auto off feature, which means if the unit is powered on and there is no activity or no button is touched for a settable amount of time, the camera will shut down. The Toughcam’s software is very easy to use and has a multitude of functionality. What can I get by selling this? What lens could I get?

OK; I'm waiting for the D60, because I want the body and fps of the 50D and the video of the T1i (assuming the 60D has video, which it almost certainly will). I have a few things I want to sell, once I get the camera. I want to get rid of my old Rebel XTi (used and a little scratched, but works perfect otherwise), a 70-300 f/4-5.6 IS USM, a 28-90mm f/4-5.6 (probably won't sell for anything, but what the heck) and a battery grip BG-E3. I have the original battery door and battery and bodycap for the XTi, as well as the neck strap. I think I might be missing the back cap of a lens, but just one. Everything is definately used, not exactly mint-but it performs the same as it did out of the box. I don't know much about selling used equipment, but could somebody give me a price estimate, and an idea of a lens that I could get for that money, definately with IS, hopefully fast in the 20-ish to 135-ish range. A prime would be alright to, but nothing longer than 50mm or FOVCF equivelant
