Filter Set Grad
How do you use ND-Grad filters on Rangefinder cameras?
camera: voigtlander R3M. All my lenses have 39mm filter threads.
film: Ilford pan F50 & velvia 50
On my next vacation, I want to just use my rangefinder, and leave my dslr at home.
How insane am I? using a rangefinder on a tripod?
do you recommend the lee RF75 kit?
how can i frame the picture properly without the through the lens viewing?
I have a set of round ND-Grads - can i make it work for my rangefinder? (too many step up rings; 39-58mm; it will also move the filter pretty far away from the lens which may produce flare or vingetting)

Not really a good idea, the RF viewfinder will not aid you in composition, you'll have no idea where the ND line is in your picture until you get home and process the film! Why not pick up a small very compact film SLR Nikon EM, Pentax ME, Olympus ON-1n with a standard or "pancake" lens and take only the body and one small lens on your trip? If your dSLR is a Nikon or Pentax you will even have a bit of compatibility between bodies--if your dSLR is a Pentax you really have it made.
