Digital Cameras - Buying Guide
Digital cameras also use a lens and shutter, but unlike traditional cameras using the film, using digital image sensors to capture images.
The market is awash with digital cameras and can be confusing a buyer to choose best suited for your purpose. This growing popularity of digital cameras is not an accident, but because they provide many advantages over cameras Traditional manufacturers have abandoned the old cameras in favor of digital.
Photos can be stored digitally and just enough photos can print the print compared with each shot of the film. New rolls of film do not have to be purchased as storage cards can be used again and again. Improving the image is easy with digital cameras and photos can also be shared instantly. Given all this is not surprising that digital cameras are much in demand.
Manufactures have come up with basically three broad categories in digital cameras and ultra-compact models, point and shoot models and advanced models. The ultra-compact cameras are very thin (less than 1 inch thick) and look very elegant. They are available at many different colors, but not all the high end features.
models of "point and shoot, they vary in size and characteristics but usually come without any manual control features. With this type, it is simply holding the camera out of the box, inserting the battery and memory card and start shooting immediately. These are normally used by beginners who have never taken a picture before.
Advanced models of course offer more options and features. Comes with manual control functions and may include interchangeable lenses. external flash units and considerably add extras price. Advanced models are more suitable for intermediate to advanced photographers.
Some of the best new features to look for in a camera digital camera is image stabilization which ensures that the images are not confusing, especially if taken in low light or a camera movement. Most take care that the shock is kept to a minimum, the image quality does not suffer.
wide angle facilities are another important element to take into account in the digital camera. Although most of them are limited to about 25 mm - 30 mm, which comes in useful. Then there are the optical zoom lenses are offered by the latest digital cameras and come in sizes from 10 x 12 x even 15x. Many newer models offer advanced facial recognition technology which means that the camera can find the person in the frame and then the auto focus is applied to ensure that the face is within the frame.
Before buying the best is to determine what is important to you. Someone can feel comfortable with a slim camera, while others may prefer one with zoom lenses. Any purchase is reduced to one `s personal preferences, but in the case of the studio cameras and feature matching your requirements that will help make the purchase much more smooth.

If a digital camera has a zoom of 18 to 55 mm, how does that compare with a 5x optical zoom?
Hi, I'm looking for digital cameras online and am trying to upgrade from my point and shoot digital camera. I am a newbie and am confused about zoom lenses when they were suddenly 18-55 mm zoom ... what does this translate into the way in which normally appears on a digital camera (3x, 5x, 12x, etc) Thanks a million!
In the case of 18-55mm in a compact camera, then goes from ultra wide to normal. It also means that it is a 3x zoom (55/18 = 3) 3x 5x 10x which is in compact cameras only tells you how much zoom do not - if the zoom range starts or ends. If we are talking about a 18-55mm lens on a digital SLR camera (I think it is the 18-55mm kit lens with the Nikon D50), multiply the numbers by the focal length multiplier of you in particular of the camera. With all the Nikon, which is 1.5. With some of the fees is 1.3 or 1.6. Assuming 1.5 (Nikon), the aim would be to work as if it were a 27-83mm lens on a film camera. That means it goes from wide angle to telephoto moderate. Ultrawide will not tend to do extreme close-ups. For a digital SLR camera is ideal for 70% of their shots. Most have a lens with this zoom range and a second in the range of 70-200mm. I hope that was not too technical. For more information, please send an email.
