Want tips on the use of circular polarizing filter with my digital SLR?
There will be firing shots at random in a fishing tournament, sunny climate expected. Many of the fire with water included. Question 1: I usually keep a UV protective lenses, if you remove it or keep it on the lens with CPL or just go with CPL? P2: Shot in jpeg format with Canon DSLR. I've heard that using AWB probably no way to go. Wb thinking of setting up the "sun" pre-established and reducing exposure comp a bit. Need your suggestions, I will not really be able to check my results below expectations sunny conditions. Thanks.
Stacking filters is rarely a good idea, too easy to "catch" the reflection between the filter and get shiny. I personally would be RAW + JPG format, and "all automatic" for the application and keep the exposure compensation is necessary only when the images RAW software that comes with the camera. If, however, is required by his employer to shoot JPG and deliver images as I do not try to force anything, with exposure compensation unless he had personal knowledge that my camera will shoot "hot" (overexposed). And use a lenshood. Good luck.
