Why is my Nikon Coolpix S4 digital camera that displays a blank screen?
The display has all the icons, but the image is totally black. It is as if the lens cap is on (of course, I have found the lens cap). When taking photographs, images come out black. I see in pictures above on the screen, so I know that the LCD is working. What is wrong with the camera and is something I can fix myself? Fortunately, the camera is under warranty, if it is necessary to have it professionally serviced.
I just experienced the same problem. You also get an error if it was AF take a picture (the shutter button halfway down)? Mine is currently Nikon for diagnosis and repair (under warranty). Since it seems that you had the same problem, I am inclined to think this is a product defect. Has anyone else experienced this around? If so, what was the root cause?
