Which dslr should i pick? Nikon or Canon?
I am a network admin/web design/graphics design student, i will be finished with school this spring. I do alot of work on the side, and i hate that i am still using a point & shoot sony to take pictures for the websites i am designing. I am able to pull some decent shots, but i feel that it would be much easier if i were using a dslr. I have used my friends Canon 10d and Nikon d50 and i liked them both, but i am uncertain which camera i should buy.
The ones i have in mind right now are:
Nikon d40
Nikon d50
Canon Rebel(dont really like it but have seen some good shots taken with it)
Canon 10d
Pentax k10d
A friend has advised me against the Pentax but when i asked why, he had nothing really to say to support his answer...
Please help me here and please give me some reasons to support your answer.

The Canon Rebel is an old DSLR, you may want the Rebel XTi or what some countries call Canon 400 D. it has 10Mega pixels for your image which wold provide great enlarged pics.
The reason I would suggest Canon is on the aftermarket Lens available and accesories you can use. You have Tamron and other manufacturers who has lots of lenses for Canon aside from Canon itself. Plus the new DIGIC processor is really good.
You may want the 40D instead of the Canon 10D or evan the Mark II, though this is a bit pricey.
Nikon is also good, though my take is that the lens manufacturers would limit you to Nikon. And the lens are pricey for Nikon.
Later on you would want to buy a few lenses, like macros, zooms and some fish eyes.
