Questions about a CANON AE-1 camera!!!?

So I was given a Canon AE-1 camera and I know absolutely nothing about it. It has the camera, multiple lenses, a zoom lense and all the manuals. I was wondering if anyone knows anything about this camera...if it's a good one and such. I have a big fascination with photography and want to get more into it but really don't know a whole lot about the technical terms or what is considered good or not. Does anyone know how much this all would be worth? I looked on Ebay but would rather get a more definite answer to know what I'm dealing with incase I decide to try to sell it and purchase something that may be easier for me to use. Any information is appreciated! Thanks!

Is it an AE-1 or an AE-1 Program?.

Both are excellent cameras and a great introduction to photography for anybody who is interested in it. I highly recommend you take it to a shop and have somebody have a quick look at the light seals, test the shutter speeds etc (a kind person in a camera store may even do this for free for you). If the light seals need replacing then it is not too costly and if you are willing to spend an hour or so working on it you can replace them yourself (look for seller 'interslice' on ebay for light seal kits for your camera).

Anyway.. If you decide to sell then it really depends on the condition of the camera and the lenses you have.

Canon AE-1 body = Roughly £25-30
Lenses are around £10-15 for the 50mm f/1.8, £25 for the 28mm f/2.8.. I could go on but it would be easier if you say what lenses you have.

I advise to just keep it all, it's a very nice thing to have for a person who wants to learn about photography.
