Canon Rebel XSi - Awesome Camera

My daughter and I have been wanting to get a digital SLR for several years, but always worried about the price of seeking resolution. The handling of the Canon Rebel XSi is lightweight, comfortable, and has a 12.2 MP image quality we've been looking for. My daughter more than 300 shots photo at Christmas, we visited several family members. It was even able to capture some stunning sunset pictures while driving in the car with the image stabilization function.

For my budget and my ability as a photographer, this camera has been fun to shoot!

It can take great photos, but have to remember to adjust your settings.
I bought a Telephoto lens for close-ups, like the 55mm does not quite do it for me.
My arm get work out, because I was so used to my Rinky Dink Kodak, but I'm sure you could use your muscles!

I am very pleased with my purchase until now. I have much to learn about the fascinating world of photography, and this is a great camera to begin the lesson.

Canon Rebel XSi - Great entry level DSLR

I bought as a Christmas gift for my husband. Technically speaking, I bought this to replace the Rebel XT. The lightweight and therefore easy to carry. Great for people with small hands or those who do not want to carry a heavy bag around the camera. The sensor extraction system Dust is definitely a positive trait. Add accurate colors, like the Rebel XT. Excellent price / performance.

Canon Rebel XSi - What a Deal

I am a novice in relation to the digital camera scene. I bought a Canon Powershot 720 is from Amazon in May and I was hooked. I waited to lower prices on the Canon Rebel XSi and ordered mine in late December of B & H Photo.

Wow! I have lots of fun with it! Simple, intuitive and great photos ... even with the kit lens. Also tried with canon 50mm f/1.8 and was keen to both outside and inside with a quick goal that can capture some action shots of Nice. I have posted some photos here in the Amazon, which recently broke on the beach in Port Aransas.

I have tried all characteristics, however, for example, the role of custom WB, but the ISO settings and exposure adjustments are easy to find and configure. There is custom menu option called "My Menu" that can be created to maintain their 5 favorite settings is easily accessible.

It would be nice to have access the configuration of the image quality, such as sharpening, using a button or the top level of a menu, but at this price I will not complain!

I took over 350 high resolution JPG files so far without recharging. The viewfinder is adequate - certainly better than a lot of other cameras I've used. Live View remains problematic in digital SLRs, so do not expect what lies at a point and shoot. The LCD screen is good, but even near the nice LCD on the Nikon D90 and D300. However, it is certainly adequate - albeit in a sunny winter day.

The Bank seems suspect inside, regardless of the setting - but that is a common failing of digital SLR cameras.

The 18-55 IS which comes in the kit is no slouch either. Definitely recommend getting the kit. In fact, the 2-lens kit is a great bargain right now at BH & H Photo.

The only negative so far is only a spot of dust on the sensor will not leave the camera with auto cleaning system. Appears in pictures of the sky.

Overall this is a great camera and lens the kit. The price simply can not be beat.

How do I clean my sensor cameras?

I have Nikon D40 digital SLR and am getting black specks (powder) in my photos. I have cleaned the lens, the mirror, and I bought a sensor cleaning kit, but I can not figure out how to flip the mirror how to clean the sensor.
