Canon FD to EF Lens Converter?

I just bought a canon FD 50mm f1.4 lens, To use on my Canon 40D.
Yes yes, I know it won't mount, And I know that most people say using an adapter takes the quality from the lens, etc. Please don't tell me "You might as well not use it" I'm not asking that. I wanted to know what is the best FD to EF EOS lens converter available? Is it better to have a correction lens or no? I don't care about losing infinity focus if i have to. I just wanted to know the best converter available.

If you don't care about losing infinity focus, get a glassless adapter. Avoid the $10 ones out of China, as the mounts often aren't parallel, but other than that, you'll be fine.

For $50, you might find one of the Canon made Macro adapters(without glass). These are very high quality, solid, and have a very nice aperture stop down mechanism. That would be your best bet.
